Hello,
I am a Los Angeles-based designer with over 15 years of experience creating immersive environments and visual identities for museums and cultural institutions. A visitor does not read an exhibition, they walk through it. Everything they encounter on that walk is the design: the room's proportions and sightlines, the casework holding an object at the right height, the wall text they stop at, the guide folded in their hand, the banner that brought them in from the street. Trained as a graphic designer and working across two and three dimensions, I develop these together rather than in sequence, from gallery layout and construction documentation through interpretive graphics and publications.
I approach design as an act of translation, finding the visual and spatial language that makes a body of work fully inhabitable for visitors.
